INTRODUCTION OF CORONA VIRUS

After Basant Panchami, there was a discussion about the color of Tesu as soon as Phagun arrived. This tree is among the sacred trees of Hindus. It is mentioned even in the Vedas. The color of phag and tesu was famous in Holi in the region. But now due to lack of protection and chemical dyes, there is no one to save natural colors. The condition is that the Tesu tree found village to village in the area is now visible only at the selected place. Learn its medicinal properties  Many days before Holi, they used to soak Tesu flowers and soak them in water.

Despite being abundant in the country, it is not being used commercially.

According to Ayurveda, apart from making colors for Holi, applying its flowers in the face by grinding it increases the shine. Not only that legumes do the job of anthelmintic, but also the old age is kept away from its use
Bathing with flower water does not cause heatstroke and does not feel hot. The villagers use leaves to make both plates. Chicken pax patients can be rubbed with a Tesu flower. Tesu flower is also beneficial in incurable skin diseases. Dermatologist says that it does not cause allergies while chemical-colored pigments are harmful to the skin. They irritate the body. Tesu flower is beneficial in dermatitis.  The seed has special properties to kill stomach worms. The boiling of the flower also produces a yellowish red color which is specially treated on the occasion of Holi. She also gives the job of Abir once the pod is boiled.  The flower of tesu is supposed to remove phlegm, vata, abdominal diseases, worms, leprosy, gum, pseudomemorrhoids, piles, prickly nectar, vocal, cough and sweating.

Prayer For Surgery

A Prayer Before Surgery

Most loving Heavenly Father, I commit my physical body to You today as I undergo a delicate surgery. Guide the hands of the surgeons as well. Thank You, Father, for giving them the skills and talents that can heal the sick and bring hope to the dying. Thank You for giving them sharp minds and calm hearts so that they can perform the operation without causing harm to my body. 

Father God, as I fall into unconsciousness under the anesthetic, and as parts of my body are put under the surgeons’ knives, continue to touch me with Your healing hand. I trust, God, that You are my Healer. You alone have the power to take away this affliction I have. I believe that there is no disease more powerful than Your Name, God. In Jesus’ name, I rebuke this illness inside my body. Begone, in the name of Jesus. 

After the surgery is done, thank You, God, for You will grant me restored health. Thank You for another chance at life that I may continue to serve You and give glory to Your Name. As I go on with my life after surgery, I ask You to always enable me to be salt and light to those around me. Help me to live my life in accordance with Your will.

Once again, I commit my body to You, as well as my soul. Be with me in this operation, and be with the doctors especially. In Your Name, I ask all these things, Amen.

Prayer for a Friend before Surgery

Dearest Lord, my friend is about to undergo a very delicate surgery. Just thinking about the operation makes me very worried for his well-being. But Lord, I trust that You are sovereign. You are in control of this situation. My friend’s life is in Your hands. I ask that You surround me with Your peace that I may not worry and that You also touch my friend with Your powerful healing hands. 

Bless the surgeons as well, God. Give them steady, dexterous hands as they operate on my friend. Keep their minds sharp all throughout the operation, so that every move they make will serve to help my friend’s ailing body. 

At the end of it all, thank You, Lord, for the healing you will impart to my friend. Thank You for giving him an additional opportunity to live his life. Thank You for the extra time I will be able to spend with him and thank You that he will be able to spend time with me again soon. All these I ask in Your Name, Amen.

Prayer for Someone having Surgery

Dearest God, I am deeply concerned now about my loved one who is on the operating table. As the surgeon performs the procedures on her, I cannot help but be worried. There are a lot of questions in my mind that come up about how she is doing. I know, God, that this surgery is out of my hands now, which is why I’m coming to You today.

I commit the life of my loved one to You, Father. You are the author of life, and You are the ultimate healer. Take good care of her, God, as she is going under the surgeon’s knife. Take away whatever it is that is negatively affecting her body. 

Be with the surgeon, too, Lord, as he performs this delicate operation. Enable him to do no harm to my loved one’s body. Direct his hands during the entire course of the surgery. Allow him to locate the site of disease and remove it. As he cuts the flesh open and patches it back up afterwards, let his hands be gentle as a feather. Let no damage be done on my loved one’s body.

I also ask, God, that through this surgery, You will show Yourself in a very personal way to my loved one. Let her experience Your love firsthand. Reveal to her Your purpose in allowing this circumstance in her life. May she know You more deeply through this situation, God. Let her experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding. I trust that You are watching over her through the entire operation. She needs You now more than ever, so I thank You for being there for her at this time. Hold her in Your loving arms, God. Be her comfort while she is on the operating table. 

Continue to be with her, God, as she recovers after the surgery. Let her experience Your love even further through the blessing of having another chance at life. Enable her, Lord, to live her life for Your glory as well as to be a channel of blessing to the ones she loves. All these I pray in Your Name, Amen.

Prayers for Successful Surgery

1.) Heavenly Father, I take refuge in Your unfailing promises as I undergo this surgery. Protect my physical body as the surgeon operates on me. Let Your Spirit be with the surgeon, Lord, that he may help me to be restored to good health once again. I trust that You are my healer, God, and it is only through You that my health will be restored. 

Father, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, allow me to be not afraid. Be my comfort. Let Your goodness and mercy follow me, even through this surgery. Please be with me at this time when I am most vulnerable. Grant me peace of mind that I may not worry. In Your Name, I ask all these, Amen.

2.) Dearest Lord, I entrust my life to You today as I go on the operating table. May Your hand be upon the surgeons and doctors who will do the operation. Allow them to act as extensions of Your healing hands. Enable them to be the instruments that will help me recover my strength. As I fall asleep from the anesthetic, I ask You to be with me always. Allow me to feel Your presence. Let Your peace surround me even as I am unconscious. I trust in Your promise, God, that when I call to you for help, you will heal me. All these things I ask in Your Name, Amen.

3.) Heavenly Father, author of life, thank You that I am able to undergo this life-saving operation. Thank You for the doctors, nurses, and surgeons who will serve as channels of Your healing for me today. Thank You for blessing them with intelligent minds that know exactly what to do, steady hands that can gently help repair my body, and compassionate hearts that always put their patients first. As this operation takes place, God, I ask that You oversee every moment of it. Help the surgeons to do no harm to my body. Enable me to rest in Your peace, God, as I await a full recovery soon. I am forever grateful to You for giving me another chance at life. I commit all aspects of this surgery to You, Lord, for you are in control of everything. In Your Name, I pray, Amen.

महाशिवरात्रि व्रत

फाल्गुन कृष्ण पक्ष चतुर्दशी को शिवरात्रि का महोत्सव मनाया जाता है। त्रयोदशी को एक बार भोजन करके चतुदर्श को दिन भर अन्न न ग्रहण करना चाहिए।

__ काले तिलों से स्नान करके रात्रि में विधिवत शिव पुजन करना चाहिए। शिव जी के सबसे प्रिय पुष्पों में कदार, कनेर, बेलपत्र तथा मौलसरी हैं। किन्तु पूजन विधान में बेलपत्र सबसे प्रमुख है। शिवजी पर पका आम चढ़ाने से विशेष फल प्राप्त होता है।

 शिव लिंग पर चढ़ाये गए पुष्प, फल तथा जल को नहीं ग्रहण

करना चाहिए।

कथा-

प्राचीन समय में एक नृशंस बहेलिया था जो नित्यप्रति अनगिनत निपराध जीवों को मानकर अपने परिवार का पालन-पोषण करता था। एक बार पूरे जंगल में विचरण करने पर भी जब उसे कोई शावक न मिला तो क्षुधाकुल तब तालाब के किनारे रहने लगा, उस स्थान पर एक बेल वृक्ष के नीचे शिवलिंग स्थापित था । बहेलिया उसी वृक्ष की शाखा पर चढ़कर अपनी आवासस्थली बनाने के लिए बेलपत्रों को तोड़ा हुआ शिवलिंग आच्छादित कर दिया।

दिन भर के भूख से व्याकुल उस बहेलिये का एक प्रकार से शिवरात्रि व्रत पूरा हो गया।

कुछ रात बीत जाने पर एक गाभिन हिरणी उधर कुलांचे भरती आई। उसे देखते ही बहेलिया ने निशाना लगाया। झिझकती, भयाकुल हिरणी दीन वाणी में बोली-हे व्याध ! मैं अभी गाभिन हूँ, प्रसव बेला भी समीप है, इस लिए इस समय मुझे मत मारो, प्रजनन-क्रिया के बाद शीघ्र ही आ जाऊंगी। बहेलिया उसकी बातों को मान गया। थोड़ी रात व्यतीत होने पर एक दुसरी मृगी उस स्थान पर आई। पुनः बहेलिये के निशाना साधते ही उस मृगी ने भी निवेदन किया कि “मैं अभी ऋतुक्रिया से निवृत्त सकामा हूँ इसलिए मुझे पति समागम करने दीजिए मारिये नहीं ! मैं मिलने के पश्चात स्वयं तुम्हारे पास आ जाऊंगी।' बहेलिया ने उसकी भी बात को स्वीकार कर लिया।

_रात्रि की तृतीय बेला में एक तीसरी हिरणी छोटे-छोटे छीनों को लिए उसी जलाशय में पानी पीने आई। बहेलिया ने उसको भी देखकर धनुष बाण उठा लिया तब वह हिरणी कातर स्वर में बोली- हे व्याध ! मैं इन छौनों को हिरन के संरक्षण में कर आऊं ता तुम मुझे मार डालना। बहेलिया दीन वचनों से प्रभावित होकर

इसे भी छोड़ दिया। प्रातः काल के समय एक साथ 3 मांसल बलवान हिरण उसी सरोवर पर आये। बहेलिया पुनः अपने स्वभवानुसार शरंस पान करना चाहा। यह क्रिया देखते ही हिरण व्याध से प्रार्थना करने लगे। हे व्याध राज ! मुझसे पूर्व आने वाली तीन हिरणियों को यदि तुमने मारा है तो मुझे भी मारिये अन्यथा उन पर तरस खाइये जब वे तुम्हारे द्वारा छोड़ दी गई हों तो मुझे मिलकर आने पर मारना। मैं ही उनका सहचर हूँ हिरण की करूणामयी वाणी सुनकर बहेलिया ने रात भर की बीती बात कह सुनाई तथा उसे भी छोड़ दिया।

दिनभर उपवास, पूरी रात जागरण तथा शिव-प्रतिमा पर बेल-पत्र गिरने (चढ़ाने) के कारण बहेलिया में आन्तरिक शुचिता आ गई। उसका मन निर्दयता से कोमलता में ऐसा बदल गया कि हिरण परिवार को लौटने पर भी न मारने का निश्चय कर लिया भगवान शंकर के प्रभाव से उसका हृदय इतना पवित्र तथा सरल हो गया कि वह पूर्ण अहिंसावादी बन गया। उधर हिरणियों से मिलने के पश्चात हिरण बहेलिया के पास आकर अपनी सत्यवादिता का परिचय दिया।

उनके सत्याग्रह से प्रभावित होकर व्याध 'अहिंसा परमोधर्म’ का पुजारी हो गया। उसकी आंखों से आंसू छलक आये तथा पूर्वकृत कर्मों पर पश्चाताप करने लगा। इस पर स्वर्गलोक से देवताओं ने व्याध की सरहाना की तथा भगवान शंकर ने दो पुष्प विमान भेजकर बहेलिया तथा मृग परिवार को 'शिवलोक' का अधिकारी बनाया।

शिवजी के व्रत

सावन मास के समस्त सोमवारों के दिन यह व्रत मनाया जाता है। प्रत्येक सोमवार को गणेश, शिव पार्वती तथा नन्दी की पूजा की जाती है। जल, दूध, दही, शहद, घी, चीनी, जनेऊ, चन्दन, रोली, बेल-पत्र, भांग, धतूरा, धूप, दीप और दक्षिणा से भगवान पशुपति का पूजन करना चाहिए। कपूर से आरती कर के रात्रि में जागरण करे।

सोलह सोमवार व्रत कथा माहात्म्य' सुनना चाहिए। यह व्रत रहने वाले तथा गुणगान करने वाले पर भगवान शिव अपनी छाया रखते हैं।
